YOU get to make up the story that works!

One of the core concepts that repeatedly comes up in coaching leaders is the story concept.  What story are you telling yourself as a leader? Does that story serve all that you are doing in the world or does it limit you in some way?  Reminding leaders that they have the power (and indeed the obligation) to make up the stories that ultimately serve the most meaningful purpose they are working towards is usually a very powerful moment of the coaching conversation!
As Alicia Rodriguez says, in her article Appreciating The Story, posted in the Library of Professional Coaching, “Stories are humanity expressed in color.”
What stories are you creating that currently get in your way of where you’d like to go?
What can you do to change the story, to write a new angle?
Where are you judging the stories of others or yourself, and how can you shift out of judgment?
