The Secret to a Long, Healthy Life

No, it isn’t diet and exercise, although that’s good.  An article in the NYTimes recently extolled the virtues of simply having friends.  Apparently the power of friendship can reduce stress, speed recovery, extend life, fight illness, and slow aging.  Go figure!  In some of the research they did, having friends had a much greater impact than a spouse.  What’s more, the article revealed that physical proximity really doesn’t matter in terms of the profound psychological impact; what matters is just having friends.  Wow!  You can read the full article here and I’d love your comments!
