Mine was tip #11:  DELEGATE. Leaders are overwhelmed with more work than they can handle, so delegating real tasks to potential leaders is a win for everyone. The overwhelmed leader gets support by delegating to a potential leader for whom the task could be a development opportunity. Mentoring, guidance and clear expectations are needed, but delegating effectively frees up leaders for more strategic thinking and influence.

Mine was tip #9: Manage Your Energy.  When leaders don’t manage their energy strategically, a slow suffering ensues. To recover from burnout, practice self-care. List activities that give you energy that you can do in various time increments (five, 10, 15, 20, 30 minutes). List those activities, situations, and people who drain your energy. Adjust your daily plan accordingly.
